IFC Power Women Top 200 List 2015 has now been released, featuring powerful women in wealth management from 125 companies across 25 countries stretching from the Bahamas to Hong Kong. These women deal with some eye-watering large assets and transactions worth $160bn between them.
However some surprising facts were revealed during the interviews in particular about quotas for women in the workplace.
The majority in fact do not believe in quotas as they would prefer to prove their worth for promotion rather than satisfy required statistics. However some countries lag behind such as Switzerland and Singapore with a mere 8.8% female representation on boards, where introducing quotas would provide a springboard for female career advancement.
