Lord Mayor Fiona Wolff calls for more Diversity

Fiona Wolff, Lord Mayor of London, calls for more girls to study STEM subjects, i.e. Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, in order to achieve more diversity in the work place, that's vital for economic growth.
At present only about 20% of students in these subjects are female, as science and engineering are still perceived as 'macho' and girls tend to steer away from them.
The STEM Careers Fair, in partnership between The City of London and the Science Council and taking place 27th June at London's Guildhall, aims to address the problem by attracting more students to these subjects. Fair participants include representatives from the Bank of England
