Karen Jones, CEO of Citywealth, has been shortlisted for the Stevie Awards - Women in Business, the world's premier business awards.
These awards honour women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the
companies they run – worldwide.
Karen
was named a finalist in the
categories Women
Helping Women, Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Innovator of the Year, and will receive either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award when she goes to collect her trophy in NYC on 13th November.
The
judges recognized Karen's tireless efforts to
make the wealth industry acknowledge the achievements of women and promote
their career prospects. They were impressed by her Power Women initiatives, spearheaded by the
successful Citywealth Power Women Awards, now in their second year. The
Citywealth women’s mentoring events were also noted and earned her a nomination in the Women Helping Women category.
They also viewed as innovative Karen's steps towards involving men as judges and inviting them to nominate their companies for the Power Women Awards, and shortlisted her entry in the Innovator of the Year category.
Finally, Karen's quick response to the business opportunities offered by
the growing influx of Chinese investors in London - spotting that applications
for investment visas from the Chinese outstripped those from the Russians for
the first time last year, also earned her a place amongst the shortlisted candidates in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category.
We are waiting with bated breath the announcement of Karen's final placing on 13th November - will she come home with Gold, Silver or Bronze awards? Last year she received a much coveted silver award in the Women Helping Women category.
