Magic Circle Awards 2016 - a magical night

Over 400 guests were assembled at the 5 star Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in the City of London last week eagerly waiting for the winners of the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards to be revealed.
Comedian and political satirist Rory Bremner hosted the event and added his usual insightful and humorous touch to the evening while TV presenter Gaby Roslin spoke on behalf of charity partners Haven, which offers personalised programme of support to patients affected by breast cancer.  £10,000 were raised thanks to the generosity of our guests.

The Awards, now in their eleventh year and regarded as the Oscars of the finance world, recognise the best wealth managers and advisors in the private wealth industry, in particular those who invest money with charities - proven more important than ever with the Kids Company demise - private families and foundations.

Karen Jones, editor at Citywealth, commented on the awards: “The private wealth industry has had a positive year on the back of property price increases, pension reforms and a thriving entrepreneurial culture in the UK. However increased regulation has brought its own challenges and difficult cost rises. Survival has meant consolidation to gain scale. Our awards reflect the industry opinion on the multiple changes and who is winning in the ‘new world’ of wealth management.”

The evening started off with a champagne reception to allow guests to mingle and network and was followed by the gala dinner during which the winners were announced. After dinner, guests were invited to meet up in the bar and enjoy after dinner drinks courtesy of Citywealth - an opportunity for their peers to congratulate the excited winners and runners up.

Those with enough energy left went on to Annabel's nightclub to carry on with the celebrations until the small hours of the night.
